As the UK tries to exit from Brexit and the US tries to deal with the president’s deteriorating mental condition (which wasn’t that great to begin with), I hope we learn at least one lesson: Never put anything to a vote on the assumption that the masses won’t be stupid enough to support it.
When Adlai Stevenson was told, "You have every thinking person on your side," he replied, "But I need a majority!"
