The strange thing is that there is nothing condescending or passive-aggressive about the note left for the people who thought that they were too good to clean up after themselves. It was a simply-worded, polite request for people to not be jerks: period. It's pretty pathetic that we've come to a point where calling people on their behavior, politely and without blaming specific individuals or making it personal, is incorrectly labeled "passive-aggressive" as a way of silencing dissent about rudeness.

I agree that it's not a bad note, but I think that better placement of the trash bins would work better.

My morale would improve at any rate. (We have a serial dirty-dish-leaver in my morning job's common space. Why, people? Why?)
