I remember reading the first four or maybe five of Castaneda's oeuvre when I was young and even more foolish than I am now. I actually learned a couple of useful things from them, but I eventually gave up in despair -- did this guy actually expect me to believe all this, especially when later books began contradicting earlier ones?
To this day, though, one line gives me the giggles: "When Don Gennaro shits, the mountains tremble."
