A No Trump Bid
Jun. 30th, 2016 08:45 amI am not a Hillary hater. She has two of the endemic flaws of American politics: She has made friends with the Mammon of unrighteousness, and she believes in that wonderful idea of America charging into Asia and fixing things that has served us so well in the past. Nevertheless, there are reasons for voting for her besides her not being a tiny-fingered, Cheeto-faced, ferret-wearing shitgibbon.
She is a politician, which is not the most excellent thing for a person to be, but saying, “I’ll vote for him because he’s not a politician,” is not unlike “I want him to operate on me because he’s not a doctor.” She seems to be basically a liberal. It’s past time for a woman president. I’m not wildly enthusiastic, but I think there are good things about her, and I would fairly cheerfully vote for her if she were running against a sad, rather than rabid, Republican.

1) I believe she is basically honest, and I do not believe there is any meat to the email scandal; and
2) She has been the target of a 25+-year relentless disinformation and negativity campaign from the American right, which has affected all Americans' perception of her, so I try to distrust some of the ways in which I react negatively to her.
