Excellent report on the backlash to Anita Sarkeesian’s efforts to document misogyny and stereotyping in videogames. The guys doing it remind me of kids saying, “Girls are icky! If we let them in the clubhouse, they’ll get girl cooties all over everything!” That’s fairly traditional--Freud called it the latency stage--but they’re supposed to get over it when they learn how to pull their pudding. Perhaps the Internet is not as educational as we had thought.
