Clinton was president through 9/11, which he caused by having sex (historians differ on whether it was the extramarital or the oral aspect). Bush took over the next day and would have made everything OK, except that Obama pulled a secret coup in early 2008, destroying the economy and bailing out the malefactors of great wealth. If Ann Coulter (via Oliver Willis) hadn't explained it, I would still believe the Establishment lies. (But then I'm gullible enough to believe in global warming and evolution.)
