Robert Conquest said that all organizations appear to be run by agents of their enemies. The PETAmanes and Westboro Baptist have long been the best horrible examples of this. Lindsay Beyerstein (whose blog is working again) calls the former Pornographers for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.

I say this whenever I get the chance, and I'll go to Lindsay's blog and say it also. PETA (like the Phelps crowd) are trolls, and ignoring them is by far the best way to deal with them.
