After RKO General's parent company, General Tire, was caught bribing foreign public officials forty years ago, RKO was declared unfit to be a broadcast licensee and lost its radio and television licenses. That should happen to Murdoch too, but it certainly will not. His organization is too influential, and cable networks like Fox News have no licenses to lose. I think Murdoch will easily weather this storm, albeit perhaps not in the U.K.
