Because America is the land of opportunity, even someone named Satoshi Kanazawa can grow up to be a white racist. Psychology Today first called his screed "Black Women Are Ugly," then euphemized the title a bit, then had a sudden rush of brains to the head and sent the whole thing down the memory hole.

Once again we are reminded that we should not take seriously anything that follows the word psychology with Today or precedes it with evolutionary. I believe the magazine once was reasonable, or at least not aggressively stupid, but those days are long gone. And Ev Psych, like Marxism, gives the pleasure of believing that one's morals are facts to those who don't realize that the two are different sorts of things.

The psych profs here have been begging us to get rid of Reinforcing Oppression with Pseudoscience Psychology Today for ages, but it's so popular that we won't. I thought an academic library's job was to select quality materials for patrons?
