Oh, interesting. I was unaware that pro-lifers were using that analogy. GROSS. Coates' takedown of that is pretty elegant.

Erased from both the pro-life and Klein's analysis, as well as Mr. Coates', are the woman persons whose lives are also at stake. Mr. Coates at least acknowledged that at the end, although a simple "Do pro-lifers think unborn children are people, but women are not?" somewhere early in the article would not have been amiss--his humility aside, he doesn't need to be an expert in gender relations to say that. I point that out not to be a crank, but because abortion rights is one of those issues that gets picked up and paraded by the Left when it's convenient, and thrown under the bus when it's no longer useful.
