I have complained about Borders' policy of treating "African-American" as a fiction category. (You know, Toni Morrison, pimp books, that sort of thing.) Is it possible to be stupider? Yes. Mall-Wart divides up all its books by race.

*nods* As far as Wal-Mart goes, I think they're being really obviously racist. It occurred to me, reading your comment, that what I was talking about was separation of fiction for easy finding (and possibly for more unsavory, unconscious reasons), but Wal-Mart is doing this with nonfiction too, and doing it in ways that are just ridiculous.
