At this year's International Conference on the Fantastic in the Arts, YA writer Owl Goingback mentioned that a publisher told him to change his name because it sounds foreign. (His isn't; ours are.) Now Facebook, in the simple and childlike faith that it can tell real names from made-up ones, has decided that his is one of the latter.
