Here are some Dirty Words that must be taken out of scientific papers lest they hurt the sensitive feelings of the government:

Gender, transgender, pregnant person, pregnant people, LGBT, transsexual, non-binary, nonbinary, assigned male at birth, assigned female at birth, biologically male, biologically female

Makes a note to add these words regardless of if they are needed in that paper.

Actually, there is a push to make sure studies take into account sex and gender, as well as ethnic diversity, because things not always the same across these lines. I'm a Dermatologist, and, SPOILER ALERT things don't always look the same on dark skin as on light skin.
