Got my COVID shot (Pfizer, back in 3 weeks). Arm did not fall off.

Good to hear. It really feels like the vaccination pace is picking up, and that's good news for all of us. New York state is a bit behind the curve on vaccinations, right? Minnesota is pretty much finishing up the over-70 age tranche right now and has started moving down to the 65-70 group.

Congratulations. I hope your provider has the second doses locked up in a vault, or is otherwise assured of having them at the right time.

Around here I'm looking at becoming eligible March 15th, but with the lack of vaccine, and the set asides for residents of low income zip codes, actual availability is something else again. (Amusingly, I get eligible based on age, and on being a cancer patient, at the same time - unless theyc hange the rules yet again.)

I normally wouldn't be concerned, but I'm also potentially starting chemotherapy (aargh!) within the next month or so, which basically means my vulnerability will increase. (OTOH, I can and will mostly stay home throughout. But the timing means that by the time I'm eligible, I won't be able to get both shots before the start of chemotherapy, and it would probably be bad to get the booster during chemo. The whole setup feels kafkaesque. OTOH, I'm normally pretty healthy, and it'll be a relatively mild chemo experience. And even being female is apparantly an advantage, with regard to covid.)
