When I feel (as I sometimes do) that I am living in heavy-handed dystopian satire, it is good to be reminded that the Author (who according to Barthes and Nietzsche is dead) has a sense of humor that also suggests that I am in at least one respect made in Their image: The London Bridge terrorist was subdued by (among others) a Polish chef armed with a narwhal tusk. I saw that on the beeb.

Apparently it was the first thing that came to hand.

It was also a nice irony that some of those disarming him were also former cons attending the same conference.
