Thank you. Her positing of "dismay" as a psychological condition and prolonged state of emotional dysfunction/distress as a kind of dissociation is very useful to me--I lived that.
And I think a lot of people in the US lived and/or are still living in that condition since Trump was elected. Such is the effect of abusiveness.
