They're making it harder and harder for real people to see and interact with stuff. I've been locked out of my YouTube account since it got bought; I can't even see my favorites, much less upload a video, and I have subscribers e-mailing me wanting them. SFGate has found a way around my Adblock and it results in half the front page being unclickable and stories covered by non-working videos. I used to recommend them as a news site with good coverage. I can't comment on most websites without getting Assbook. And of course there's the underlying problem that I didn't mind ads and even clicked on some; I got Adblock when they started slowing my comp to the point of unusability. My conclusion is they don't want human engagement, bots conform better to their tastes.
