The Republican victory in the Senate reminds us that the unelected, elitist, activist Court that gave us school desegregation, legal birth control & abortion, an end to laws against consensual sodomy, different-race and same-sex marriage, and lots of good decisions on smut & police excess can no longer be counted on, and we will have to find other ways to reach our remaining goals.
