I am a recovering libertarian, just as I am a recovering drug addict: It feels good, but it’s not sustainable. Tomorrow I’m going to vote for a number of lessers of two evils because we have to have a legitimized armed gang to deal with allocation problems, externalities, etc. I’m voting straight Democrat because, while all governments bugger the citizenry, liberals use lube.

Here are some people who still believe we can get away without having a State [Reason]. Maybe they’re right.

I get why people say they don't want to vote for the lesser of two evils. But no one actually lives like that. I don't refuse to work because no one will pay me 70,000 a year. I don't refuse to own pets because my cat scratches the wallpaper. Why is politics the only area of life people won't accept compromise?
