I have really mixed feelings about what Mr. Brin has to say.
I can't say I agree with him on all aspects.

One thing I do agree with is improving the infrastructure of the internet. I have said for 40 years that the smart thing for small towns to do is create connections that would allow tech guys to work from a home in rural America. If you gave them a high speed pipe to the computer world they could raise their children in the peaceful and safe environment of rural America
