It's a brilliant apology and it does everything an apology ought to do.

And yet --

The only reason the apology was required was because of the default knee-jerk assumption that women can't be believed. In this paticular case she wasn't being believed about the frigging basic question about whether she was an actual woman who actually existed.

That's a level of disbelief which blokes don't even register as a problem thye need to deal with: "And the first issue, how do I convince the punters I exist?"

I think it's a good apology. But the reason it's needed is a shame and a stain on men as a whole.
