There have been many, many books explaining that remarkably good business results can come from treating employees as if they were intelligent and well-meaning. Nevertheless, the number of authoritarian assholes is legion (losing Steve Jobs and Al Davis in one week hardly made a dent), perhaps because it's fun to be an authoritarian asshole. Here is yetanother suggestion for How to Lead Clever People (Hebrews 13.8)
