Steven Pinker recently wrote an excellent review of Malcolm Gladwell, in which he said that Gladwell is brilliant, informative, and always worth reading, but sometimes a bit sloppy,* especially in defense of his favorite oversimplification, that success is all a matter of Pluck & Luck, rather than those nasty old genes.
Bookslut has an article on the discussion that offers useful links but thinks that the review is a simple pan and
enormity means "large size."
*And so are his editors, or absence thereof, letting a reference to "Igon values" appear and be usable as a Horrible Example.
