Health Care
Dec. 2nd, 2016 05:45 amI am one of those liberal elitist pigs who want to use the armed power of the state to force the American people to live under the yoke of a system where they can get sick without being financially ruined. Donald Trump has been elected after promising to save the people from it, but now that appears to be no more likely than getting Goldman Sachs out of the Treasury Dept. Charles Pierce discusses how that’s workin out for ya. One theory I’ve heard is that is that Obamacare will be replaced by Trumpcare, which will be an identical balance of mercy for the sick and disabled with continuing to allow the insurance gangs to steal with both hands and a few prostheses but will be freed of the Black Muslim cooties that make the present system intolerable for so many.

Whatever historians may say of Barack Obama's Presidency, his leadership of the Democratic Party has been disastrous. After the defeats of 2010 and 2014, and now Trump's election, Democrats have no hold on power outside a relative handful of states. This country is closer to a one-party state than it has been since James Monroe's time.
