I'm not sure whether to be glad or appalled that the author doesn't even mention GamerGate and their war against precisely the kinds of games she seems to be newly discovering might be a desirable alternative. Or that nor does this response. GamerGate is still very much alive.

But then so is the segment like me, that loathe all games and resent the video game industry's well funded and fashionable attempts to muscle fiction out of the way as somehow outmoded. So this is an internecine thing and ultimately not my affair.
