No, Hillary wasn't wrong, but her words were counterproductive. They energized Trump's base, gave him more ammunition to use, and probably persuaded some of the 20% undecideds against her.

Attack Trump; attack the Republican Party; but never, ever attack voters. Even racists and xenophobes stand to lose by climate change, by further empowering Wall Street and the 0.1%, and by the lunacy Trump will bring to the White House. Every voter offended is a vote lost.

This election is starting to look like classic tragedy, the flawed candidate who could have staved off disaster but comes up short, and has to watch powerlessly as a nation is ruined.
