Sometimes I have as much trouble understanding extraverts as some people have with opposite sexual orientations. I called my hearing-aid place and told the receptionist I needed an emergency appointment because one aid was broken and I could hardly hear at all. When I got there, she engaged me in a lengthy mundane conversation.

I can't tell if you're conflating "extrovert" with "rude" or with "stupid." Either way, I know plenty of extroverts who wouldn't do that, and so do you.

I certainly don't think she was being rude. I think she had a well-intentioned desire to interact in a favorite way that overran the arguments against it, and I certainly don't think that all extraverts do that.

When you're an introvert an extravert's behaviors can feel almost alien-like. I stare in wonder at them sometimes waiting for extra eyes and limbs to pop out thus confirming all my suspicions like, "Wow, how can you be so different from me?".
