“If you can’t pay, you die.”

Jim Wright summarizes the Republican approach to health care in six words. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could get across to a few million Trump voters how willing the Republicans are to let them get sick and die so their superrich cronies can keep more of their billions?

Why we need a First World health care system

The problems we have because Smart Republican Paul Ryan and his followers think that insurance shouldn’t work like insurance

Health Care

I am one of those liberal elitist pigs who want to use the armed power of the state to force the American people to live under the yoke of a system where they can get sick without being financially ruined. Donald Trump has been elected after promising to save the people from it, but now that appears to be no more likely than getting Goldman Sachs out of the Treasury Dept. Charles Pierce discusses how that’s workin out for ya. One theory I’ve heard is that is that Obamacare will be replaced by Trumpcare, which will be an identical balance of mercy for the sick and disabled with continuing to allow the insurance gangs to steal with both hands and a few prostheses but will be freed of the Black Muslim cooties that make the present system intolerable for so many.

Health

I used to be a hip degenerate; now I have a degenerate hip. It’s the disease that’s named after me, and I get an MRI Tuesday.

That's easy for you to say

I don't think suffering is good for people, really.

Obviously, women of color can't be Surgeon General because they don't know important medical facts that everyone knows. Regina Benjamin doesn't know that being fat is always bad for you. Joycelyn Elders didn't know that self-abuse causes insanity and blindness. What next--a Stork Denier?
