I could swear I saw this story prior to the date of that blog post, and with a different illustration than all those linked news stories are using. And look, 2006; 2007; March 5, 13 days before the blog post that supposedly started the whole fuss; March 13, 5 days before it; and a sample student essay from 2010!

The outraged right-wing blogger has hit the publicity jackpot, but this is clearly not a new story. And the Jezebel article ignores the continuing large faultline in feminism over titillation, to use a mild word. This is not an issue manufactured by a single right winger last month. Nor are sexy undies something feminists agree about. Have a look back in your archives - I wouldn't be surprised if the earlier story I am remembering was also a link from you, and longer ago than I had thought.
