Ding Dong

I have Bell's palsy. I'm being medicated, and it's annoying, rather than scary. (I look & sound a bit funny.) [livejournal.com profile] nellorat had it last year and is completely recovered.

Hope you recover quickly. I had it in my thirties, refused medication, and recovered within five weeks or so. I was terrified when I woke up with it and talked to my primary physician by phone. She told me she thought it was Bell's Palsy, but made an immediate referral to a neurologist who I saw the same day. He was very reassuring.

In the "unnecessarily scary" category, and also in the "obvious to others" category. Hate those kinds of things. All my disabilities are invisible, which most of the time is fine with me.

No fun at all. I hope you recover quickly and it doesn't recur.

Wishing you a speedy recovery. Also glad that it wasn't mistaken for a stroke, which can happen.

Ugh. Hope you heal quickly. One of my friends had that a few years back.
