I always invite people who question the existance of female pirates to consider:

There are only 2 documented cases of women pirates during the 'Golden Age of Piracy'
Both women (Ann Bonney and Mary Read) were in the same crew
Women dressing as men and serving in the armies of that era are very well documented...

So, what are the odds that the only 2 women to take up piracy in that era would be on the same ship's crew?
