One of the quaint native terms in the primitive culture I grew up in was mixed marriage, the idea that there was something noteworthy about marriage between two people identifiably of different races. (Some tribal leaders even tried to ban it.) Now that we have outgrown that concept (except on Fox News where idiots talk about "marrying other species"), perhaps we should repurpose the term for marriage between different sexes.

I like it. The problem would be that white mainstream members of the queer community need a lot of work on thinking about race and have had a bad habit of lifting language from the African American civil rights movement without regard for the history, and I could see huge racefail in how the white queer community might apply this term. So I like your thinking, but I fear your thinking won't come packaged with the use of the term.
