Tool-using

Porn is one of the great drivers of information/communication technology. I have always assumed that the Gutenberg Bible was closely followed by a Tijuana Bible, and the stories of the Polaroid, the VCR, etc., are well known. The same factor now applies to bookmarking. Someday, the history of an information-organizing technology so complex we cannot yet imagine it will begin, "There were these two guys on a television show…"
