Interesting. Judging by what I get on kvasir.no, this story was covered by a left-wing local paper and a major Finnish paper . . . and I'm not finding any other Scandinavian coverage, even searching with "Torill" as teh Arbeiderblad spells it. Not impressive on the part of the press corps there, let alone in the US . . . In fact I hadn't heard anything up to this point about rescues.
