ETA: I am reminded of the time the Cincinnati Bengals fans threatened to riot, and Bengals coach Sam Wyche took the ref's mic to suggest better behavior because "you live in Cincinnati; you don't live in Cleveland." (It worked.) Perhaps Halperin's employers are telling him, "You work for MSNBC; you don't work for Fox."
