They say the best way to learn is to be wrong on the Internet. I have learned that community colleges are a lot more interesting than I thought. Thanx to my commenters.
*grin* I'd been about to say something like that myself--about CCs, I mean--but couldn't figure out how to do it right, that is, eloquently and also without coming across like I was annoyed. They did it better than I could've anyway, though. :)
Not piling on; I was just late with the datapointing: I loved community college, and I didn't have the money to go anywhere else. I took some really good, rigorous math courses there, and did some award-winning student journalism.
Just to add, I liked teaching at a cc better than at a university. The students in general were so much more attentive and committed to working at the cc.
