I was following that case until the convictions. Interesting to see the daughter's take on it; she appeared in all the news coverage as having already escaped and denouncing them. I'm sorry for the dad, whose reputation she is inevitably further trashing, but I hope her book does well and nets her some money, and that her attempt to fade back into private obscurity is successful.
I'm not so sure I agree with her that family vlogs should be banned. Very belatedly, viewers wised up that they had been watching an abusive family, and potentially other abusive families could similarly bring themselves to light. Conversely, there's something to be said for demonstrating that there are many lifestyles and parenting styles (some of which may actually be good to emulate).
