And being mocked by pretty much everybody, which isn't going to sit well with the Great Rump. The late-night hosts are floating "couple's names" for the two of them, which is also calculated to drive him crazy. "How dare they? Insulting nicknames are MY THING!"

I predict that Elon's reign as "shadow president" is going to flame out before Inauguration Day, and he can go back to trying to regain access to his own Space X facilities. Seems that his history of drug abuse and palling around with Russian dictators makes him ineligible for higher security clearance.

I feel sure the incoming Commander in Chief will fix Musk's security clearance problem.

Unless of course Trump hates Musk by then, presumably as insufficiently loyal.

I think they will be on the outs by then. Trump hates being upstaged. And he hates feeling like somebody is telling him what to do.
