This year I was able to get the Sierra Club engagement calendar from the local bookstore before it sold out, and we also got the Sierra Club calendar for our household calendar. I was suprised and pleased to see that in both the holidays note for today is "Indigenous Peoples' Day | Thanksgiving (Canada)".

Your entry reminded me it's been ages since I've seen a mention of The Rude Pundit (probably mostly because you no longer post very often, but also, Twitter meltdown means I can't see entries there any more).
