Loving Day

On June 12, 1967, the undemocratic, activist Supreme Court struck down all laws forbidding marriage between people of different “races.” Happy Loving Day, everybody. It later struck down all laws forbidding marriage between people assigned to the same sex. The userpic indicates that now that we’ve done gender, number is next.

There are a lot of elder couples locally in mixed race relationships which does my heart good to see especially when you think what they must have gone through in their younger days although race law was never as hateful here.

Younger mixed couples don't make one think twice, but these older folks are special! :o)

Loving v Virginia. Possibly the most aptly-named Supreme Court decision ever.
