The old white guys won. Sen. Warren is probably feeling the way Adlai Stevenson did when he was told, “You have the vote of every thinking American,” and he replied, “But I need a majority.”

I haven't been following the election coverage, but I guess we'll find out whether Clinton lost because
(a) she was a boring, mainstream, establishment politician
(b) she was female

Personally, I think she lost primarily because of (a), and can't think of an obvious-to-the-clueless way to distinguish her from Biden, other than gender and her scandal-ridden husband. I hereby predict another term of Trump, based on the assumption that the average voter doesn't follow any issues closely, and will have the same general impression of Biden that I do.

(p.s. I'm not a US citizen, so no point following closely - I just have to keep an eye out for the place becoming too dangerous for me to stay there. Fortunately(?), while Trump and many of his followers are into demonizing the Other, I don't currently register as Other to them - I have white skin, speak English without an accent, and am not Muslim ;-( Even while everything they say about immigrants etc. causes me to see them as very much Other.)

I liked Warren too, and am baffled as to why she did so poorly. I think the press did her a disservice by constantly presenting her as a slightly less flamboyant, female version of Bernie. COMPLETELY different candidates, IMHO. She was my 2nd favorite of the entire pack (would have been my favorite except for her age) and Bernie...? Absolutely at the bottom of my list.

Great AS quote.

That the mainstream media has been doing everything it can to disappear her except at moments of failure doesn't help. Though I knew to expect this, I'm still kind of "et tu, MA?"

And the DNC foisting Biden on us by making it hard to vote in many places is going to suppress the vote needed to actually beat Trump--the good ole Democratic ouroboros.

Oh my!

The Republicans are going to repeat their trick of using taxpayer's money to persecute Biden in the Senate. The news media will follow their every word and publish the headlines. I see no good ending, unless the economy tanks, and what's the upside in that?
