A nice chart, though I'm dubious of some of the etymologies, like "Ngo" being identified as "a proto-Indo-European word" [sic].

It's a bit odd that they refer to actual patronyms like Jónsdóttir and Ivanov as "signifying patronage" and original patronyms that now signify descent like Martinez and Gonzalez as patronymics. This makes me suspect the chart may blur the distinction in countries where a Slavic patronym is listed.

I have Romani ancestry and the 'experts' seem to be determined to identify just about every other word in the language as 'Indo European'.

That is odd; it makes about as much sense as labeling half the words in an English dictionary "Indo-European" rather than as being from Middle French or Old High German, and indicating connections when those are known, either directly or by historical linguistics.

They probably think Socrates thought of himself as speaking Ancient Greek.
