Good article! Thanks. I like the idea of women developing better sex tech; ghu knows it's helped out with diversifying porn. (Long ways still to go, but still better than it once was.)
I...have been astonished at the number of people who feel like this is a good article, frankly, when it drastically misframes the #MeToo movement and acts like we've never had anyone suggest these ideas before. Like, I wasn't around for the '70s, but "hey let's use accurate vocabulary for our body parts" strikes me as ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE that no one was saying it in the '70s. And holy shit the dominatrix who said she couldn't be mean to anyone who wasn't a white dude: that really strikes me as a misapprehension of how pain, domination, and CONSENT are supposed to work, what the hell. Among other things: people who are not white dudes are allowed to be submissives and masochists as well.
The thing that is dangerous and immoral in the #MeToo movement is not sex. It's assault. That's too important to let slide no matter how great a sex toy someone claims they want me to have.
