To those who have taken this day to come out as gay, lesbian, bi, or trans, I offer my best wishes that you get to do so at as little cost (in all ways) as possible, my admiration, and my thanks for helping make the world I live in a less stupid one.

To those who think, as I do, that Coming Out Day can include all the forms of sexuality that can offend people whose business it is none of, I direct your attention to my userinfo if you did not already know that I am part of a happy, long-lasting, committed three-person tuple.

In my case trans and straight with a side order of monogamous marriage.

Dunno why people find that so unexpected! :o)

I'm not always sure whether polyamorous is under the QUILTBAG umbrella (to mix a metaphor) but any man who refers to his loving husband is, imho.

Happy National Coming Out Day!

I've seen quite a few people recently say things like "don't come out as poly/kinky/anything other than not straight" and I kind of want to challenge that statement because I agree with you that the day should be about "all the forms of sexuality that can offend people whose business it is none of". But I am trying to be less fighty , and also I have some idea of where people who make that statement are coming from even though I think that statement is not the best way to get their desired results.
