I don't recall if I mentioned this the last time Amazon copulated the canine, but I have had satisfactory dealings with Barnes & Noble for more than 50 years, and they do not appear to do large stupid things.

Amazon yanked Macmillan books over a difference of opinion in how e-book sales prices and profit margins should work.

supergee: B&N have a low note for me for having squeezed out, bought, and/or shut down a variety of university and college campus bookshops, over the past twenty years. On one hand that's capitalist competition, and on another, some of those takeovers have sucked, insofar as the B&N replacement offered much worse service re: books for uni classes.
