Writer detained for un-American name. I agree with Patrick Nielsen Hayden that we can’t have Worldcons in the US until we once again become too civilized to do this.
As the author is local to my city, and a friend to several friends of mine, I admit to accepting her word on all of this as well. One more reason why I don't plan on doing any more international travel in my life, barring a sudden outbreak of sanity in various high places.
