Doug Fratz 1952-2016

40 years ago I was reading and writing to fanzines (the low-rent “sercon” ones that actually talked about science fiction) while trying to get up the nerve to do my own. One of the best was Thrust, edited by Doug Fratz. Now I learn (from his obit, alas) that he was a major environmental chemist serving as Vice President of Scientific and Technical Affairs for the Consumer Specialty Products Association.
