Yes, but I do think this one is a bit nastier. This is kind of like, they seized your car, you jumped through the hoops to prove your car was untainted by drug crimes, and they say "oh, well, we're still not giving it back."

This reminds me of Scalia's famous quote about how even actual, objective innocence isn't a protection against execution, so long as due process was followed.
