Nixon was Eisenhower's vice-president. Later in life, long retired from politics, he was an unofficial adviser to President Clinton.

I'm no fan of Clinton's these days; he signed the law that ruined radio, promoted the proliferation of right-wing demagogues, and helped set the stage for Trump. "Zathras warn, he did, but no one ever listens to poor Zathras."
