I grew up reading science fiction stories about the far-off, mysterious 21st century. Some were upbeat (a roomful of computing power you could put in your pocket) and some were scary (a TV buffoon running for president on a major ticket). One I did not see and would not have believed is some sexually repressed prude dreaming up a dystopian future where women were arrested for not showing enough skin on the beach.
